Does anyone connected to the CPX via bluetooth? Any idea of what the bluetooth connection is used for?

I'm in the same boat. My CUx broadcasts a seemingly useless bluetooth connection (weirdly called NIU). The only thing it seems to do is let my phone know I'm riding and block all notifications.
