I have some doubts about how to use the battery and I wanted to consult you since I do not see any information in the user manual.

First one doubt is when to charge battery. Seller told me that I did not have to charge it at any time as it was consuming a charge cycle and has limited cycles. I thought lithium batteries didn't have that problem and could charge it at any time. Also, since I only have one battery, I would be interested in being able to charge it often to have more battery autonomy.

Another question is chargging to 100%. I know that it should not drop below 20% but also heard that is not good to charge at full and that it must be between 20% and 80%.

The last question is where to put the battery. When I recieved the bike, battery was located at the rear and the seller told me that I should not change it to the front because of load balancing problems or something like that. The problem is that this position does not fit a helmet under the seat and if I put it on the front side I can fit a jet helmet.

I'll be gratefully for your commments

Hi JaLeo!

About the betteries... The best for the battery, in terms of total energy stored, is going from 20 to 80%. I mean... lets asume that you battery is a 1 kWh battery. If you charge it from 20 to 80 you are storaging about 0.6 kWh each time. If that hypothetical battery last for 1000 cycles... you stored 600 kWh in his life time. If you charge it from 50 to 80% you store 0.3 Khw... in that case the number of cycles will be something arround 1800... more cycles but if you multiply cycles x energy... you "only" stored 540 kWh.

After this explation... do not worry to much about the charging of the battery. I also think that in fact our bike do not reach the 100%, even if the charger stops. I think supersoco decided to decrease the maximun voltage a little bit for guaranteen a lot of cycles.

Changing the battery to the front slot I do not think it is a problem. You are just moving a 20 kg mass about 15 cm... so I do not spect a change in how the bike bahaves.

Hi Javi

thanks for your explanations, only I don't know why from 50 to 80 % are 1800 cycles. May be short charges reduces number of battery cycles? Any way, I think your way, electronic will cut maxim voltage to prevent battery damages.

About battery slot, I think i'll don't move battery cause now there is a good vertical space, but when summer will arrive and use jet helmet I'll move battery to front slot.

Other question I forgot. What warranty battery has? My dealer says 24 months like the bike, but I see some videos and webs talking about 36 months.
Do you know about this?
moreover, I don't see any warranty certificate

cheers

Short charges means more cycles... but not in a proportional way... i mean... halve charge does not means double cycles... means less that double. I read it in a scientific paper... but I do not remember where, I am sorry... I will search it again for sharing it.

No idea about the battery guarantee 🙁

One question... did you try to use the "Diagnosis" using the app? At the beginning... when I recived the bike the test passed without any problem. Now It reaches about 80% and blocks. It do not indicated that everything is OK and does not indicates any failure... just "blocks".

OK, so I think I'll try to charge when it approaches 20% and maybe not reach 100% to extend the useful life of the battery

I used "diagnosis" a couple of times. Always finished right with a green tick in every parameter. I don't know if that is a full check or a great utility cause I discovered that one of the high beams don't works and it doesn't appear as an error.

Now I must go to seller for review that light. I spect that our led lights are not bad quality. 😕
