Hello everyone, I thought it'd be a good idea to introduce myself since I can foresee me being quite active on this forum.

My name is Bob and I'm a dutch guy living in Spain for the last 9 years. I've been interested in electric vehicles pretty much my whole life and I'm finally going to make the leap towards a legalised e-vehicle.
So far my DIY e-bike has been my go to form of transportation but times have changed and I want something a little bit more serious that can take me from A to B. The Super Soco TC caught my eye almost immediately and if all things go right, I will order one next week.
In theory I wanted the green one since it's the prettiest IMO, yet the dealership informed that only the beige version is available. No harm no foul, the beige one has it's own unique look to it.

Some of the modifications that I'm already thinking about are:
-Completely rebuild the battery. Perhaps reuse the stock BMS for simplicity sake or swap the BMS with a higher discharge capacity to have more room for future modifications.

-Repaint the bike once I grow tired of the beige.

-Swap out the handlebars for something more sporty or simply rotate the stock ones so that the curve goes downwards (this can only be determined once I posses the bike)

And the gran final:
-Swap out the stock motor and controller for a 10kw motor. This would be a hell of a project since it'd mean a whole lot of other modifications need to happen to make it safe (reinforce the frame, reinforce the swingarm, upgrade the breaks, add better suspension, etc).
Basically this modification would be like the Ship of Theseus, after completion would it still be a super soco TC? Probably not hence it's something I won't do anytime soon.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to reading some of the information on this forum and to contribute my knowledge whenever possible. Take care for now.

Bob

Hi Bob. You don't reinforce the swingarm, you'll have to buy a new one. Forget rebuilding the battery, it's easier to just make a new pack with more and better cells if you want to push performance. Plus obviously you'll need a new controller. You can check my topic if you want, I'm upgrading to 4kw (max legal in NL).
