Hi everyone, I've put a deposit in for my new Super Soco TC-Max.  I'm using the interest-free loan offered by the Scottish Government to buy it, frustratingly this takes ages to process, so it'll be a couple of weeks at least before I can get my hands on the bike itself.

I'm going from a Suzuki SV650 to this, which is going to be a hell of a downgrade for my daily commute, but I figured that for a planet my kids can actually breathe on, "I wanted to go faster" isn't really a very good excuse.

I'm trying to figure out what changes I can make to the bike when I get it.  The dealer has thrown in a headlight guard, top box and windscreen for free, which is awesome.  But being an all-year Scottish commuter, I also rely on heated grips.

Are heated grips available for Super Soco?  Normally they'd hook up to the 12-volt battery, which obviously isn't really a thing with this one.  I'm considering whether some heated gloves might make more sense.

Finally, from that test ride I went on, the number one irritation was the indicator switch.  Has anyone had any luck with replacing it for a more standard (push to cancel) switch?

Looking forward to being part of the community,

Andy 🙂

Hi Andy, and welcome to the forum!
In the Super Soco is a transformator from 60V to 12V if I'm saying it right. Here is a tutorial to install a usb charger, maybe you can do something with this information 🙂

The indicator switch was really annoying for the first week but I learned to drive with it. It's not so worse as you think right now.

Ooo, nifty, if 12 volts are available then heated grips may well do the trick still 🙂  Though maybe I should avoid adding anything that drains the battery even faster!

haha from 650 to 125 almost

I was stunned the first time driving a mt-07 but that was before the electric. I Did try a mt-03 once for a hit and run test and it was very kind in comparisson to a ktm 390 that I later had and drove for a few months. Now I'm running the slower version TS and its a good looking drive. I don't have any numbness in my hands anymore and that is worth alot.

Pretty cool idea you've gotten

The heated grips I will add to my own 12v battery I've added to the bike as well as other stuff running on it as I didn't want to fiddle with the onboard 60v->12v power supply.

It was same thing for me but not the whole world about the turning lights button.

When my land hinted a tax subsidy for an ebike and electric veichles I just jumped on it as I wasn't really trusting politics to keep their word. Stated to run for three years and they had it for 1 year only. From 2017-09 to 2018-10 and then abruplty removed the subsidy.

Yes, it's a huge jump down.  Though I was on a 125 for nearly two years and a 110 scooter for a few months before that, so it's not going to be a new experience, but I will miss being able to reach the speed limit on the motorway that I've been able to do for a couple of years now!  The good news though is that 125 and equivalent are allowed to use the old Forth Road Bridge into Edinburgh, so I'll be able to skip the queues completely 🙂

I would buy the BMW C evolution if they had any around but they don't. The same goes for Zeroes selling for 7,5 or 10 and there ain't any. I did a request for a max in 2017 from a local store but no info from the resellers. Now 2020 they finally brought them in so they are coming in a month or two int this year.

Cool bridge yuo've got and a very nice scenic view for your commute apbarratt. Que skipping is the best!

This one I have got just outside the door:

and this one is my sturdy commute bridge although I will drive on the new one that will look pretty cool when build in late december 2020:
