My battery connector got melted on the battery a few weeks ago and I just got my Super Soco back from my dealer.

After I got it back I discovered that my range and speed had increased by a lot. Before it was made i had only 20km of range! Now it's made I can get 30km (unlimited)

I got the cable in my warranty so all the costs are all covered.

The only problem I faced was that my dealer didn't charge my Super Soco so I needed to let it stay for one more night at a friend. So that's a lesson for me that I need to remind my dealer to charge up my Super Soco. Because I don't think 14% is enough to ride 20km.. don't you think?   ?

So all in all it's great to have it back!

Wait how do you only have 30km of range? There's no way a single battery setup only gets 20-30km even unlimited.

My current NIU does 50km/h for 70km..No way 75km/h takes it that low o.O Is there something about the TC I should know about now that I've already put my deposit out ??

It's especially weird when the default speed of 50 is supposed to get you 80km (probably closer to 60) on a single.

Great news! I wonder how long it will be before it melts again 🙁

I have the TS, and i'm only riding full speed so all the time around 60km/h with 6 degrees celsius. In the summer i have around 50km of range. But this is the most kilometers i ever made on my scooter... So maybe there's still something wrong..

For sure that's weird. I'm waiting for mine to arrive and then I plan to ride it until it dies to check the initial range. The TS and TC are using the same 60v30ah right? If you're really only getting 20km on a single charge it's a big deal.

@TCMaximum:

TS has 26Ah, TC has 30Ah (actually 28.8 Ah).

My range with my TC in mountain terrain is 86,6 km (GPS-km) with 2 30Ah-batteries, Y-connector and without regen. With 1 battery you will have at least 43,3 km but you save 11 kg weight for the 2nd battery and have some regen so this will give you even better range. Temperature here in the Canary islands mountains is around 9 °C in the morning, 16 °C afternoon. I recommend charging the Soco battery in your house so that it stays warm. In summer I had 105-110 km range with 2 batteries, without Y connector and some regeneration (which is quite annoying due to the accelerator lag). All numbers for unrestricted use, mode 2, in heavily mountainous terrain (mode 3 for overtaking cars).

Dealers in Germany who have both tested the NIU N1S and the Soco TC  say the TC had slightly better range (source: elektroroller-forum.de). The TC has better 17" tires, and has the option of a "cheap" 2nd battery, connected simultaneously. My recommendation is: get 2nd battery, get Y connector box, and please change the 17" china tires for some Michelin road tires (the grip of the original tires in rain or contaminated roads is bad and dangerous if you drive fast in curves).

If you fully discharge a Li battery after the initial charge, the performance, capacity and operational life are likely to be severely impaired. Even after the battery has been "conditioned" by completing at least 3/6 cycles of discharge/100% charge, it is unwise to allow the charge level to fall below 15% - and leaving a Li battery discharged for any length of time will undoubtedly shorten its life and reduce performance dramatically ........ so be a bit careful. Are you making your own Y-cable?
