In regards to the Y cable and keeping your stuff, you'll need a backpack. With Y cable there won't be anywhere to put the tray unless you put the Y cable somewhere else inside the side or something. Secondly i'm not sure what kind of driving you guys are doing to get to that small of a range. If you're only using the "legal" variant abroad then with 45 you can easily get 60+km out of it. If I go 70 nonstop then I would probably only get 50 or so on a single battery. With dual battery that'll be increased a lot more for both. There is no chance you're using a Y cable and getting 40km regardless of speed.

Secondly for mods, I'd suggest adding USB as it's super simple once you understand the process. Also requires minimal tools that probably the shop would let you borrow/do it for you. Also a phone holder depending on your phone. If you have a newer phone with the vibrating camera adjust (not sure exactly what this is but look it up) it can actually kill your phones camera. I have an iphone 6s and it's been fine for 2 years driving and bumping around.

Also in regards to some other complaints I've seen around, if your soco is unlocked there is 0 problem accelerating from a stop. You can go 0-50km/h in a super short time. The slow acceleration is only at the peak power problem being limited by the motor controller. So 60-70 takes more time. You will definitely be faster than anything else off the line and there is absolutely 0 chance that a random chinese brand is getting ahead of you.
