Translating part of a chinese review of the TC... Regarding the lower battery % and it's top speed.

"When the power is below 20%, the speed will drop below 25km/h. When the power is below 10%, the speed will drop to below 18km/h, and there will be insufficient power output. The car will stop when driving"

Does this sound right for you TC (or TS) owners?  when battery is >20% remaining, it cannot reach higher speeds? (for example 50 km/h)

I definitely notice a reduction in speed + acceleration the lower the battery %.

Unfortunately motor RPM is affected by voltage. A fully charged SS is about 70v. When its empty it’s around 60v. That’s a big voltage drop and hence a big speed drop too 🙁 especially if you’re riding de-restricted.

Thanks @tomp.  Then having a 2nd battery is beneficial.  Too bad they don't make a battery with a higher aH rating.

  • Must admit that I was initially doubtful about the idea of parallelizing two batteries. But more and more benefits arise;
  • Charging/discharging takes place at half load on each battery, which reduces battery wear
    It takes longer for the voltage to drop/top speed decreases
  • With the double amps, it can be easier to keep the batterys charge level between 80-50% which is most optimal, and you dont need to top charge a single battery/or run it down to 20-15% like u almost does in you like to use your Super Soco.
  • You dont need to buy another charger if you want to charge both battery overnight, negative is that a full charge will take double the time compared to charge one battery.

lower battery = lower top speed, but which hurts most is that below 15% charge forget about going uphill. Uphill is best when charge is above 30% or so.

uphills are different, you know... for example, i had overcamed 7% uphill at 11-12% SOC
