@s550v - not quite. If you have car licence (+age) at last in EU you may drive up to 125 cc equivalent. (self edited - at last in some EU countries - check list below)

@docweyr false. Which country do you live?

What I know, in all EU countries (i'm from Romania) the car driving license is good for up to 50cc (and equivalent 5kwh). For 125cc we need the motorcycle driving license .

@alexaraducristian - negative. Since 2014 in Poland B is ok if:

  • you have it for 3 years minimum
  • your e-bike is 11 kW max
  • power to weight is 0,1 kW/kg max

AFAIK quite similar regulations (with some small changes) allow to ride small motorcycles up to 125cc or 11 kW in at last:

  • Czech, Slovakia, Hungary and Croatia (auto gear requsted - for TCmax does not exist any)
  • Spain, Portugal (min. 25 yrs old), Italy, Latvia (same as in Poland)
  • Belgium - B but only local if you have it min 2 yrs - so foreigners need A, but...
  • Belgium (foreigners) and France, Luxemburg, GB, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden (?), Austria and some more - you need a few hours course or A - moreover f.e. in Austria you should have your B min 5 yrs.

Of course there are still some countries like Germany, Netherlands, Greece, Norway, Finland, Sweden (? - different info in articles), Slovenia where A is required.

Above list is based on a few articles on new. They may not be 100% true. But more or less in many countries you may drive TCmax with B but it is not all EU rule.

On the other hand in Poland - we have A1, A2 and A (full) - but again - if you have B - you do not need any Ax to ride TCmax. ;-]

@docweyr great for you.

In Romania it's not allowed.

I have my B driving license for 22 years (now I'm 40) and I've been driving for more than 500k km and I changed 4 cars, but when I jumped on the bike the world has changed 🙂 I have 500 km only on my TC and I still learn.

indeed with experience it's really possible to drive  the real motorcycle, but so far our government does not consider changing the law.

@alexaraducristian - you may try to focus their attention of examples listed above adding that at last for electric motorcycles they also have:

- support for ecology;

- no gear - so asy ride like automatic scooter.

Both arguments might be interesting for your MP, media, FB groups or some organizations. Why not to try? ;-]=

This maybe a dream you never wake up from. ?

I'll be happy if the Y-cable works with 2 batteries!

@tomp - upgrade kit? Engine, controller and battery are completely different.
