Got some shitty news and won't be getting the TC Max most likely. Previously you were allowed to put on electric vehicle plates on it. Now you'll only be able to put a motorcycle plate, which means it's banned here within city limits. 🙁 Probably just going to end up getting the TC and modding it to be a tc max without the belt drive.

I saw the TC MAX on the Brussels motroshow yesterday and it looks awesome. I think I got the TC too soon 😉

But I'm happy with it and it's much cheaper on insurance and taxes. I'll probably get the TC max handlebar to put on the little TC 🙂

Some interesting points raised here.

One the price. Another way to look at the TC Max vs TC price.

TC + 2 Batterys would give you about 70 Mile range and 45 mph. This would cost you £2899+£960 (Battery + VAT) = £3859

TC Max. 1 Battery would give you about 60 Mile range and 60 mph. This would cost you £3999.

So for £140 more, I know what I would choose.

Re the Chinese question. Super Soco are using German engines and Japanese batteries. Thats good enough for most people and Id be interested to know of ANY vehicle at any cost that doesnt have Chinese components in them somewhere.

all super soco parts made in China, include "German engines and Japanese batteries". TC MAX - 60 miles at 60 mph with 40ah battery? bullshit

Beware the TC Max with its tiny 3.2 kWh battery will have the same range as the TC with a single 1.8 kWh battery:

1.77 times the energy (3.2/1.8) which you need to go from TC's 69 km/h to TCmax's 91 km/h [(91/69)² = 1.74]).

But, here comes the bummer: No option for a 2nd battery! The TC with 2 batteries will have twice the range of the TCmax. So the tradeoff will be: better torque, mountain performance and max speed for half the range, mandatory A1 license and a somewhat higher price.

You can't find a better deal for this type of bike in Belgium. The TC cost you 3500€ but you get a refund from the government of 750€. The TC Max cost you 4500€ and you get a refund of 1250€. But the TC Max requires a higher insurance and taxes.
