Seems like the tires were changed before all plastic was wrapped off!

Wouldn't that be a rough ride on asphalt / pavement?

My first impresion to - less grip, lumpy ride and will wear out in no time!
But just because a tire has knobbies doesn't mean it grips well offroad ond are useless on roads.

Depends on what kind of knobbie you put on, true dirt tires are quit soft, have huge knobs (like his) and are not street legal, Street-legal dirt tires or "dual sports" are often called "DOT knobby" tires and can work well on asphalt.
But they are really good looking!
maybe  scrambler tires is the perfect compromiss?

Looks like a Super Soco TC wannabe?

The knobbies make the bike look like a mean junkyard dog... i.e 'Let sleeping dog's lie'

Nice tyres... For a crosser.

Sorry but I like practical over unsafe fashion. The heavy rear wheel already compromises the handing.

So for me, many negative votes.

Why degrade the handling further?
