In "gear" 3 and flat out on easy terrain, my speedometer goes up to 45 km/h, which sounds fine, but the actual speed is just 40 km/h....
Has anyone seem something similar ? Quite disappointing, 45 km/h is bad enough..
Is there a way to set a new max speed ? (I do not want to void the speed limitation altogether as that could easily land me in trouble here in Norway.)

Mechanics tip : Check the tire pressures 😉 They drastically effect on the range, performance and top speed with these E-Scooters.
On my CU i have 43 psi rear (3.0 bar) and 39 psi front (2,7 bar)
Manual states : 36 psi front and back (2.5 bar)

The speedo on all the Soco models seems to over reports the speed (probabably on purpose) and the speed limiter will kick in based on what the speedo says. Turn off the speed governor and you'll get as much speed as the bike can actually provide. Search on youtube for how to delimit it.
Just don't ever let a cop see you going faster than what the ebike is legally allowed to do in your area or you'll potentially have a stack of fines against you.

Now I'm wondering how much it would cost to re-register the bike in its unrestricted mode?
Anyone in Spain with any knowledge of this?

Obviously I can't speak for Spain, but the way it works in Canada (where this bike is sold as a restricted eBike or a Limited Speed Motorcycle) is once the bike has been sold as an eBike, it cannot be registered as an LSM. In order to qualify as an LSM, the bike's VIN must indicate it is an LSM, and it must have an LSM manufacturers stamp or sticker on it.
If the VIN number doesn't match up to being sold as an LSM it's very difficult, if not impossible to get it legally plated and registered.
My original plan was to buy a used TS/TC then get it registered. Around here, everyone who buys it as an eBike is doing it because they lost their license for being an idiot. Nearly no one buys them as an LSM.

Here in Spain we took on virtually all the German interpretation of the rules.... Very strict on modifications :should I change the position of any of the lights/indicators, number plate, mirrors without changing the technical document; the bike would probably fail it's annual technical inspection (first one is after 4 years) and would be a target for traffic police and the Guardia Civil!
