Hoorai, just got my TC back from the dealer for a general checkup and... The new controller with SW updates.

And I must say, the first impressions are very satisfying. Smoother power distribution and, and, and: no more Turbo-gap!!! Yes indeed, the regen problem whereby the engine shuts down for a few seconds is gone.

Still have to wait and see if the max power is dropping or not when batterypower goes down. This should also be resolved but I can't tell yet.

I have no idea which version is on the controller, but it was delivered from the factory end of March.

Me happy ? ?

I’m gonna do my first run restricted. See how it afgects battery-life. Then unrestricted and see what the difference is.

What was the outcome? I've wondered if there are updates that I should be asking my dealership about so improve range/speed/lag.

both runs were way OK. As already written the regenproblem is completely gone.

Max speed is available all the time (45 KM/H restricted) and approx 65 KM/H unrestricted. Only at 30% batterypower it drops to 45KM/H.

The powerdistribution is much better (in my view). It doesn't give you the boost when you take off.

For the rest of course the battery drains faster due to max speed used all the time but for me this is OK.

Hi. I just got my 2018 back from Sevilla, nearest dealer more than 3 hours away.

Now fitted with a 2019 controller.

Yet to give it a full test but first impressions:

It works.

Smoother take-off.

I'll put any future comments onto the "new controller" page.

Hi, did you have a problem with your old driver? Have you replaced it as a guarantee? Have you had to take your complete motorcycle to Seville? I'm asking you all this because my bike lately has a problem. It lights up on the error 98 marker and the rear wheel is braked as if it wanted to go backwards. I have advanced the revision of the 10000 kms to the workshop Norauto that sumco told me and they have not fixed anything. I have contacted sumco and they no longer take care of the Super Soco bikes and they have taken me to the nearest point of sale that is in Valencia. I got in touch with them and they asked me to take the bike. my Super Soco TS 1200 is broken. I do not know whether to limit it before taking it to the workshop or taking it as it is.

Hi Javi.

I had to send my complete bike to Sevilla.

My fault was intermittent, there were no error codes shown, just mode 0 range 00, twist the grip and....nothing.

They could not replicate the fault but the garage and the importer agreed to change the controller for free, until they found that the seal was broken.

So it cost me €230 for return transport plus nearly €300 for the controller and it's fitting.

Many thanks to the guy from Sabadell who sold me the machine!

Good luck with yours, I am trying to build confidence with mine.

Saludos cordiales

Phil de Canillas.

I bought mine with 8 months and 3500 km and unlimited. I hope to have more luck and that there is no broken seal tomorrow I will take it to the workshop in Valencia with the road assistance insurance crane that I have hired. I will look to take it limited to 45 kms / h by the way. Are you in the Telegram group? I would like to change with you more impressions and I would understand better in Spanish than with the Google translator I do not know English. Thank you very much Phill

Well, I will have to change my sign-off.

This TC is by far the worst vehicle I have ever owned, it is the first BAD bike that I have owned in 51 years of biking.

I rode it for just 10kms on Saturday.

I left it for 2 days and this morning I pointed my electronic key at it and..NOTHING, neither a light nor a sound and the battery will take no more charge.

The thing has just 900kms on it and it is DEAD.

Good morning, Phil, I'm sorry for the problems with your bike. I took mine to the Super Soco official workshop in Valencia Patacona Motos with the error 98 that I told you with 8800 kms. The truth is that I was happy with my bike until I got that error that leaves my engine without power. We hope to be lucky and that it is solved as a guarantee. otherwise it will be the same to change the driver and motor for something of higher quality. I can tell you that my daily commute from home to work and from work to home is 70 kms every day I hope you have luck and soon solve the problem of our bikes.

Well, i just got my TC yesterday in Madrid and in my first day i noticed the turbo-gap and the power delivery on take off that is kind of abrupt, I was personally thinking  that was some kind of phisical problem with the throttle, until i found this forum. The bike is gorgeous, and i hope the dealership can take care of the update, will let you know how it goes.
