Success! Building my own secondary TC battery - and it works!

Considering a 17s14p build using samsungs 8A 3.5Ah 18650s, for ~50Ah / 112A

That will give me double capacity and plenty of current headroom for motor/controller upgrade in the summer

 

Only 25% more cost, for double capacity (compared to 17s9p with 10A); i considered the 21700 aswell, but that would cost an extra £120 for the same capacity - and i still need to get a BMS, so it adds up quick

 

only issue, is that this is a huge chunk of lithium, and may be impractical to remove regularly (i live on second floor) lol at 10kg+ (45g per cell)

This is a pretty old feed, but one may dream. Is there any updates on DIY batteries ? I'm planning on building one myself and will post a new feed if I end up doing so but any insight is welcome of course.
