Hi there. I have to display L-plates (learner plates) until I get my full motorbike licence in the UK. Does anyone have advice on which type to buy, and how to fix them to the bike?

Especially the rear L-plate: most kits on Amazon/eBay are designed to fix to the bottom of the licence plate, which wont work on the TC Max.

Thanks!

Can you modify the bracket to have it next to the number plate?
If you put it above the numberplate it will hit the frame when you go over a bump. I think I've managed to hit even the numberplate going through a bit pothole!

How are you getting it restricted to be learner legal? I was wondering if this was possible so my youngest son could ride it when he's 17. Or does it qualify for A1 anyway?

@mrj thank you very much, that's great advice.

The TC Max is legal to ride on a CBT in the UK, since it is the equivalent of a 125cc. So yes, my understanding is that a 17 year old can ride it, once they've completed their 'compulsory basic training'. Typically costs about £100 and takes 8 hours. There's no test or pass/fail, it's just training.
