How can you see if a blue tooth module is present? I don't think my recent tc max has one. Can you still purchase it afterwards? Does anyone have a link where you can buy it? And how do you install it?

Thanks!

Hi Yidaki,

As far as I know the TC Max doesn't have a bluetooth module but the 2nd batch (in the UK) do have built-in SIM cards that can connect to the Super Soco servers through which you can monitor your bike via the app.

Thanks again for the info. I don't think there's a sim in the bikes in Belgium. Nothing works to link the bike. It shows up in the app, but nothing works. No battery %, ...

@yidaki

When you installed the app did you setup an account? Once your account is active you should be able to activate the SIM card.

I don't have an Iphone so can't comment on the specifics of the app as it may differ from the android version.

I can setup an account, my bike becomes visible, but there’s no way to activate the SIM card.

@ewayfarer I'm going to do some research on 2G networks. I think Vodafone still run 2 G, I'm just going to put 2G sim in as that is GPRS compatible. I'll let you know how I go mate

Today after 4 months having a TC max, opened the super soco app and asked me to activate the SIM card, wich i did and then (picture) but still hasn't been able to find any gps connection.

Tomorrow ill try putting a local 4G card ( im from Belgium) and see if it finds the Chinese servers.

@sergialosa hey, did you get this to work in Belgium?

I own a cux where the app does not work either. I’m having the data indicator on the dashboard but in the app it is not online. If a local sim would work I would love to replace the card too.

Thanks!

Today I had a look and saw a sim card installed.

Does the module uses bluetooth to comunicate with the app?

Also I saw 3 leds blue (gps),

red ( battery), green (mobile sim).

When I turned on the fuse the red one with the battery sign light up. A bit later the red is still lit and the blue starts flashing. After a while blue and red are flashing seperately. Than first blue flashes 2 times, then red 2 times and than green 2 time seperately. This for about 1 minute. Than all leds go out and nothing happens anymore.

The strange thing is the cycle starts again when the start button is pushed to start the bike, even if it is already doing the cycle on the module.

Does anyone know what the led mean?

Or can somebody who can connect with their bike check if the led cyclus is the same.

@18650wheels Did you manage to connect the app to the bike? I only picked up my TCMax last weekend but there doesn't seem to be any way to connect.
