Has anyone ever done the derestrict process on the TCMAX to see what happens?

Yes, if you mean messing around with the throttle and turning the ignition on and off.

Mine was supplied in restricted mode. It was like it was stuck on setting 1, i.e. limited to about 40kph. Derestricting it gave me ~80 kph like everyone else.

BTW I haven't ridden it since March, so I haven't been able to see if warm batteries give me closer to 90kph 🙂

@mrj I'm in Australia and get 95km/h on flat, even got 110km/h on a decline on freeway. Only short burst on freeway between exits

@18650wheels Wow. You certainly don't need to derestrict it!

110? That sounds a bit scary, TBH, on a small bike like this. Did anything start shaking? Any bits fall off?!

Due to lockdown I've been cycling and walking everywhere, just for local stuff. I need to find an excuse to go out on mine.

@mrj It was fine mate. Lock down lifting in stages here, we can now Sunday drive and visit Parks and outdoor spots
