Hello,
I've been wanting a electric bike for a while after problems with my ice 125 bike.
I have decided the TC max is the bike for me and have found a local dealer where i had a test fit. Love the bike however i prefer a more upright riding position similar to the TC (after having sat on that one too).
Has anyone tried changing the handlebars over to a more drag style set or even the one from the old TC. The dealer said they would contact super soco and find out as the main issue with doing so will be if the cables connecting the electrics are long enough for a simple swap out.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated as i am looking to purchase it for myself as an xmas present.
Thanks
Drag bars are at least 100mm lower than TC bars.
Standard TC bars are already "chopperesque" and are very weak, thin wall aluminium.
The best that I can suggest is perhaps good quality alloy bars with risers added.
I am using LSL Streetfighter bars with 3cm risers: a good riding position but still lower than standard TC apes.
You cannot simply mout TC higher bar for TCmax. Brake cables are shorter in TCmax. I tried that option while ordering mine a few months ago.
So you can find a bar a bit higher (but still lower then TC) or you have to exchange brake cables as well.
I supposed they should match. But service failed to switch my bar giving above reason.
having done some googleing for drag handlebar i think the drag handle bars are straighter than what i am looking for. So it seems what i am looking for is cruiser style handlebars which are on the standard tc. May just have to go to the dealers and see what can be done with the parts they have.
