Hi
My side charging port doesn't work unless I open the battery compartment, disconnect the battery lead and connect a lose black lead thats next to the battery.. Is this normal? Seems a bit pointless having the side port..

What charger do you use? The sideport only works with a normal charger.

Everything is alright!
if your bike only has one battery this is the normal way to use the side door, for bikes with two batteries or that have a manager, just connect the side door and everything happens

It's the original charger, works if I plug it direct but not through the side. So the side port is only for charging a second spare battery not the one in use..
