A newbie question.

When i let go of the gas handle sometimes the charging symbol starts to blink and there is no power. It stays 3-5 seconds then I am able to gas again.

Is this normal or anything wrong?

Very annoying when riding in traffic with cars both in from and back of you.

I thought exactly the same! All normal no need to worry (kind of silly design!)

It's the regeneration brake. It's not the best in this firmware version.... Hopefully in newer versions it's better.

So it's normal.

My TC does this but (as far as I know) it doesn't even have regenerative braking! For me it seems to last 3 seconds (it's always the same) before the motor kicks in again. I have no idea what causes it as it seems random.

It's only really bothered me once when I was going around a corner at the time at needed the power, but usually it's not a real problem as the bike is coasting along.

It should be regen & I thought it was random to start with. Ride along at a decent speed and close the throttle. Then open it a very small amount and keep it there. The bike will the regen (charge symbol appears) until you slow to the new lower speed.

Its barely noticeable but does feel slightly different compared to coasting.

From Beijing...

It is a battery issue... You need a new battery!

I bought I bought my bike brand new and have gone through two batteries, now working on my third... within 1800 km.

Everything is still under warranty... but it's still a pain in the ass.

My my dealer knew exactly what the problem was right off the bat and fixed me up.

He was telling me that Socco knew about the problem has and has since switch suppliers for batteries. Hopefully this works out.

We are all still waiting we are all still waiting for an English version of the app!!

if I understand you right. It is a malfunction of the battery that causes the lack of power for 3-5 sec and the charging symbol to blink?

Have you changed two batteries on warranty because of this problem? And is your third battery complete so that you do not have any of this issues?

Question 1 - Yes, you understood correctly.

Question 2 - Yes.  Everything is still under warranty.  If I remember correctly the warranty is 2 years on the bike and 3 on the battery (or visa versa).

So far, with the 3rd battery I have driven ~600km on it without an issue (knock wood).  I don't know who the new builder of this battery is but things seem to be fine.
