So the battery is almost finished! Ive managed to have a test ride and it all works as expected. I was able to travel 52 miles and arrived home with 30% battery. Not bad.

However, I did have a few issues. It seems when plugging in another battery, the bike can sometimes go into 'charge/regen mode' randomly. I think this is to do with both batteries trying to level off. This is not great though as it leaves you at the side of the road in charge mode until it recovers  ?

Solution at the moment is to unplug the data line from the original battery. This cures the problem but leaves you with the 0% flashing battery indicator. Again, this isn't a problem as I have an app to monitor the overall battery state.

Would like to be able to fix this issue but I fear the BMS in the soco battery is to blame  ?  Unless people know otherwise?

Now just have to cover in giant heat shrink.

Total cost about £550 including the battery welder which I can use again etc!

Hi Tom, thank you for the post and photos. Clearly a good saving over the official soco battery.
