It has finally got cold and frosty here in the south of the UK.
Has anyone had problems with the power button freezing? It hasn't happened yet, but I was just thinking ahead. Mine is almost always completely wet, so when you press it water squeezes our all round (this is on a TC Max, I guess all the other models are similar?)
Apart from that I don't think there is anything else that will be trouble below freezing? I still managed 50MPH with the battery claiming it was at 1'C.
I didn't experience something like that.. never read it before either. The only thing with cold weather that the range will be considerably lower.
This sort of thing concerns me lol
Is your bike kept outdoors, under a cover, or indoors?
Mine is currently stored indoors, so i have never had a problem with condensation, but soon it will only be stored outdoors under a cover - although I am sure it can handle condensation/dew, I can forsee issues if that water then freezes, it could well start damaging seals 🤔 hmm
I drove mine today at -3 degrees. Not one problem!
I have a 2018 TS and haven`t had any problems with cold weather. I use the bike to get to work every day. In sun, rain, ice and snow. I have about 3km to work and drive home also on my lunch break. A totaly drive of 12km a day. At night it´s in the garage but in the day it´s outside. This winter haven´t been much to a normal winter so far. Last winter offered rides on ice when it had rained and then frozen. Careful driving of course, no problem. Drive through 10cm snow was also doable. Sometimes when I come out to the bike it was covered with snow which had frozen on everywhere. The coldest temperature I have driven in so far is about -14 degrees Celsius. Normal winters the temperature usually go down under -20, that I´m looking forward to.
I have really good winter tires and thick clothes. I love drive in this conditions. But I haven`t had any bike problems with the temperature below zero.
