I would like to ask you guys about the Amps during acceleration in winter time.  Although in Greece we didn't have that severe winter yet, I am experiencing a drop in maximum amps and power during acceleration. With temperature under 20 degrees C and I cannot achieve max amps. I tested it in my underground parking lot where the temperature was 17 degrees and no max amps possible. On the road now temperature is 9 to 10 degrees C and maximum speed was less than 62 km/h with no max amps as well.

What about people in places where there is real cold?

I think the key is to keep the battery warm. If you bring your battery inside over night then you should be able to pull max amps.

You means this bar up to the  top?

Here in Sweden it has been below 5 degrees now for a couple of months, see no difference now or in full summer that was above 30 degrees. Amp still goes all the way to the top in full acceleration or full throttle.

However, I notice that the range now decreases when the battery is never near room temperature.
My Soco is stored in a garage that has isolated walls but no heating, but temerature inside is always above zero degrees even if it -15 degrees outside.

I wanted to know because I had a problem with the BMS and I took care of it (A98 A88 errors). So far it hasn't appeared again but now I see that I don't have full amps when accelerating and this bothers me a lot. I took the battery out for inspection again and checked the cells. With full voltage at 68.2 Volts (87%) all the cells were at 4.02Volts exactly. No imbalance. If it isn't the cold that is causing this then there is a problem with the BMS...

My next step would be to bypass the BMS and give power directly to the controller and see what happens.

Anyone else has seen such a problem?

"Whats ur range at -15c and 45km/h?"

Haven´t been that cold yet since I bought my Soco this spring, but during tests this summer a normal range has been between 55-60km in 20-30 degrees, last months with 5-10 degrees my maximum range has been about 45km (not tested full out, just calculaded after how fast the battery percents drop of in the display.

If it will be around -10 to -15 deg and I still want to ride (brrr.. cold!) I will keep my battery inhouse, otherwise I suppose range will fell below 30km! But if you keep the battery inside I would doubt that its temperature would drop so much in one hour ride that the range would be significantly affected.
