Hi, Iam currently planning on changing the controller but need to know how many pole pairs the
hub motor has. Does anyone know where you can get the specs for these Bosch motors?
thanks!
I am also very interested in replacing the inept controller. It is quite obvious to me that the TC was designed with a higher power in mind at first place. Here are my findings on our Canary island mountains:
(in brackets the commercial claim)
- Maximum torque: 110 Nm (130 or 150 Nm)
- Maximum hill angle with 75kg standard driver, 1 battery: 14,5° (17°)
- Maximum motor power @67V, 40A: 2680 W (3000 W)
The maximum motor power is calculated at 67V to account for the voltage drop at max current due to the inner resistance of 40 mOhm per cell (17/9 * 40 mOhm = 75mOhm = 0,075 V/A = 3 V/40A)
I think the TC was designed with 45A or 50A max current in mind which would guarantee the commercial claims (130 Nm, 17°, 3000W). I have seen somewhere that the controller circuit can actually achieve 45A. But with a controller software which limits the current to 40A (on the french forum they say 41A, on the German forum they say 39A) there is no way to achieve a torque of 130 or 150 Nm as claimed. At the moment with the castrated TC controller it is 110 Nm. And forget hills which are steeper than 24% (14°). The claim was 30% (17°).
Why did Vmoto limit the controller to 40A which makes it impossible to get to 130 Nm or 3000 W? My best guess is: Thermal problems with the battery connectors.
Next week I will get the Y cable and I will keep you guys updated if it solves the thermal problem.
Yes it is strange. I’ve just replaced my melted battery connector with a new one (same type) but still gets warm.
The battery wires inside the battery are much thicker than the battery plug & wire leading to the motorbike... so stupid!
I’d really like to try a new controller & higher voltage battery (72v-80v). I think it could go maybe 60mph then ?

- Hello everybody. Nice to meet other supersoco fans. I apologize for my bad English. Really interested in if it is possible to change controller settings in ordre to use all battery discharge amper capable.. I have studied es cúbic goldenmotor.co. Com controller, but it seems to me the y are not exactly the supersoco tc wear.. Please, look at the images and will see supersoco do not have the usb connection that appears in the vec200-300...would apreciate to know the right controller in ordre to buy the usb connector and reprogram supersoco tc. Thanks a lot
