Hi!

Just got my TC Max, I couldn´t get it to start at first which I figured out was because there was a black cable (only for charging) and the orange (for powering the bike) in the battery compartment. The black was the one connected to the battery.

So when I figured that out I obviously tried to connect the orange cable to the battery instead but it's like it is like a centimeter or two to short so I can't plug it in.

Anyone have a solution?

Have you tried talking out the battery to check that the cable isn’t getting snagged it’s a bit Easier to see what’s going on if you remove the battery that’s what I’d look at first

The orange cable is just secured with zip ties under the trim. Take some panels off till you can see the ties and move the orange cable out a bit.

@lhk, That's what Super Soco told me too, I did cut one and it helped a bit but not much, so at least I can plug it in now if I push and pull a bit. From what I've been able to see it looks like it might be a white zip tie that is hard to access that could be the problem. It's right underneath the key for the battery lock (by the handlebar).

seems like maybe your only removing the one side panel. All the plastic trim can be removed to eventually just the frame. It’s a bit of a fiddle if you’ve not done it before but a screw driver is all you will need.

@lhk Yeah I tried but didn't succeed in getting the panels all off. Might try again later, I did however manage to move the cable a bit more and I can connect it now even if it's just precisely so it fits..

@theswede there’s definitely a certain order they have to come off as they slot together with each other. Once you’ve done it once it’s fairly straight forward. If you get stuck let me know where you’ve got to and il see if I can send you pictures for the rest

This is how far I came last time, tried to get the part where it says Super Soco to come of but that was the problem.
I did unscrew the screw on the inside but it won't losen anyway, really tried to pull it but it's also plastic so I don't really want to pull it harder in case it breaks.

i have attached photos of the screws you need to undo all circled in red. From the back part once the screws come out it’ll pull outboard and then slide it up and backwards. I took off the battery lid cover as it makes it a lot easier for it to slide out. As the screw you say is loose but not coming out it’s probably just being gripped by the plastic so just keep turning it and put some pressure from behind. Once that long cover is off the orange cable is really easy to adjust via the zip tie. Il take another picture of it off if you need any further help.

@lhk THANK YOU! Managed to get it off, so now the orange cable is well enough in length for the battery, also managed to find a picture of where the ECU was placed. So I could pull the ECU out and then put it together so I fixed a problem with the app not having connection to the motorcycle!

Thank you again!

awesome that’s great. Ah yeah your 2020 model is slightly different with its controller placement than my 2019 but once you get the covers off it’s fairly easy to trace all the components. Glad you fixed it up 👍
