Hi there,

Does anybody know why it makes a different sound when you press long on the unlock button.

Then it makes the sound like unlocking a car instead of the standard "blip blip" sound.

Ik can't find any info in the manual about this.

I just tried it and it made a sound like the alarm going off but only briefly, not sure why you'd hold the button down though...on that subject I don't know why the tones go up for turning the bike off and go down for turning the bike on, I would've thought it would be the other way around heh.

I have been thinking that if the battery of the fob goes dead then the bike will not be usable, so I hope the battery doesn't go dead when I'm 30 k's from home, at night.  I haven't even looked into how to change the battery.  Has anyone had their fob go dead?

@ewayfarer Indeed never thought about that. Is Will keep a spare battery in the bike. Just in case.

Very easy to open, put a  knife or screwdriver above the led indicator and try to tilt and push the buttons upwards then do the dame in the lower side.

My TC fob lasted 2 years and was still going when I sold it. The other fob I had lost when I stupidly left it hanging in the side lock and it fell out and got run over. NEVER DO THIS! I wonder if you get any warning that the fob battery is weakening?

@ajpegg it's somewhat reassuring that the fob battery can last 2 years, maybe it's a good idea just to change it annually, then you know it'll be ok.  Or just keep a spare somewhere in the bike.  I think I did that once, ride with the key in the side lock, thankfully it didn't fall out!
