Trying to install a Shad top box. Unable to remove the hex bolts that hold the rear grab handle to the frame. Has anyone successfully done this or got any hints/suggestions?

Garage has said the next step may be to take an oxyacetylene torch to the frame to burn through the Locktite glue! Am reluctant to go that far but have spent the money on the box and carrier already.

I did it but they were tough.

you need a long Allen key and a ring spanner or set of mole grips

(or a decent socket set with an extension and good quality bits)

make sure the Allen key is in the bolt tightly and then feed the ring spanner through the other end to make an extensions give it a good old pull and once they are broken you are good

be careful not to round them off or you have a whole world of other trouble ahead

Same here. Did it a few weeks ago. Needed a hex bit with a proper socket driver, so quite a bit of leverage. After that it was straightforward.
