What’s the output voltage measured at the charger plug? I’ve since learnt that the BMS has nothing to do with the charge limit, it just protects the b...
Thank you, that’s what I thought might happen. The range isn’t accurate anyway after de restricting. Shame.
Does the displayed range read out change at all with the Y cable installed? Curious to see what happens with 2 batteries.
Have you tried to calibrate the battery? Run down to about 5% (gently) and then charge back up fully without interruption. Might help!
The battery may get a little warm, that is fine. Keep an eye on the battery connector though if travelling up hill or at max speed for a long time.
Charging to any % is fine actually. Just make sure you do a full charge every now and then to balance all the cells properly.
I’m going to connect it in parallel with the original battery so as to keep the overal % reading. Basically using an xt60 Y lead. Im also going to swa...
Hi Jim, it was a struggle to find a company but in the end I went with Lexham Insurance. I paid about £250 fully comp, however I am 32 years old! ?
That would be the easy way! ? but no, the TC Max does look nice ?? Wonder if my deal does part exchange...
I think the key is to keep the battery warm. If you bring your battery inside over night then you should be able to pull max amps.
Great info Super Honda. I think you’re correct, the controller is the weak link. It might not be worth trying to program the original controller &...
Something like this could be fun. Or maybe just the motor? ?
Great find! Like you say the controller must be old as it is not listed anywhere. Max voltage is also 88v which is very interesting, I wonder if the ...
Knowing more about the controller would be useful, mainly it’s max voltage limit. You could then just increase battery voltage & in turn top spee...
