The biggest point for me To make a decision is the radius. They advertise with 80km radius but it is 40 - 50km. I have read that the charging time is 7 - 8 hours. So I need two batteries. I have also read that the charging make noise so maybe that is a problem when I want to charge at my work.
The range is quite consistent 60-65 or 120-125 km (1 or 2 batteries, 15-25 °C). Subtract from the range 1 km every 40 m uphill and add 1 km every 80 m downhill. The range will probably suffer severely in winter but you can charge the battery in your warm house to avoid it. The big advantage which offers Super Soco is that their battery is cheap and you can have 3,6 kWh with two batteries. The charger is not really noisy... it sounds like a small water boiler making hot water. Just plain "white noise". But you would not want it in your bedroom. And it is quite slow, with a battery paralleler it takes 11 hours from 30% to 95%. My number one wish is a fast charger, quiet and compact (and a 50-Amp-controller which really gives 3000W/130Nm at the motor).
The range from Dutch super soco is 40-45km with 45km/h under 15 Celsius. Above 15c it’s 50 km with 45km/h. The charging noice is an ventilation sound which is pretty annoying if it’s close to you all the time. Max charging time 0% to 100% is 5:20 hours.
I bought one of these for attracting attention as the bike is completely silent. Using the electronic whistle is better than using the horn to warn cyclists / pedestrians I think.
As for the lock, I bought a Kryptonite lock like this and found a position at the rear of the bike to mount it securely. It workd very well.
