I have use both methods, will say that vinyl wrap is better for this type of surfaces, no mess, you can work on your kitchen table!

Easy to applicate and lift again if it not is perfect the first try, a heat air gun is also usable to stretch and shrink with.

Totally agree.  I wrapped my vehicle interior & a few exterior parts with vinyl and it's a better process than spraying.  No need to mask and cover areas due to overspray and the fumes/smell
