I live in Belgium, so a bit more hill's than in The Netherlands, I also get about 50 to 60km out of one load.

I've noticed the 'battery charging light' coming on when I'm going downhill and still go full throttle. A bit faster if I go to speedsetting 1. So I guess this is what they mean with engine breaking.
