Many TC owners have complained on this forum of a power cutout when coasting. there is a delay of several seconds after regen before power comes back. This has been a concern as its dangerous if you cannot move quickly when you need to.

Is this issue also present on the TC Max?

AFAIK it is connected only with some TC with older firmware/controler. As I read - service can fix it.

I’ve had both the TC and TC Max. I had power cut out on the TC every few miles, which got a bit hairy at points. I’ve not had that problem with the Max. It’s a decent bike, no issues as yet (300 miles).

@electric

Get the electrical contacts checked on the battery terminal and cable. Mine has a poor connection that heated up and welded itself. Power dropouts is a symptom.

Have had TCMax for exactly 1 year. Just started getting power drop-outs. Random occurrences. No error codes displayed. Spontaneous recovery (so far). Have recently had a full service so wasn't expecting trouble so soon. Will update when/if problem is identified

@skimba hi. Ik had the dame 2 times now. Very strange, normally when you loosen throttle it just freewheels but these were very short power Drops, betaling on motor. This started after I stocked it for the winter. Battery has been kept inside my house. Also after my first run a fault 94 appeared but this is gone. Don't know if it's linked tot zacht other.
