No such unit in mine - checked both right and left side panel! Also looked around inside, nothing like that! Just a silver colored device in aluminium just above the controller, but without a QR-code..

I have this plug too, wondered what it was for. Is this definitely for the communication device?

I've also seen this picture which was why I searched for the unit on this side. Inside the soco TC you can see some parts which are build to hold an other part which is somewhat similiar to a cigarate box or something like this. There are also holes for some screws. But the unit it self isn't build in. Also on the picture you posted, you can see the connector which I posted is connect. Two wires are coming out, one goes to communication unit.
