Outdoordreams didn't sell the original bms. I did search the china taobao and bought one but I got a reply they only did repairs.

Until anyone rebuild or use another bms with additional few wires and the real signal output.(one need to figure out that as well)

Pretty hard

@Socomods

Are you sure you'll remake your original battery with a chance to lose the bms to accident damage while doing the rework? (Worst case scenario is then replacement of a new bms ans lose of battery % status)

If you are. I wish you the  best luck of course!

not too worried about accidents tbh, i build way more complicated electronics than these batteries - as i have a dead original battery, i might aswell reuse the bms

Awesome!

Also that kind of original bms is worth 250€

If I could buy one I would but contemplating I really don't need SOC (the status battery % indicator)

you might want to check your local vehicle requirements, i am not 100% certain of UK law, but i do know that you can technically be charged /byget points on license, if you run out of petrol and cause an obstruction, i am expecting that this means a fuel gauge is a requirement; but as any law on this was written decades before EVs existed (then again, Milk floats aren't new..), it may not apply - but it isn't hard to rig up a voltmeter, and you can buy them super cheap on ebay, slightly trickier to create a % meter

if you know some basic electronics and coding, you could do it with arduino or something similar, i'm sure there is an open source code ready to go somewhere online

Eventually i will be creating a massive battery, to fill the whole compartment, and at that point i will install something like Arduino for battery monitor (and some other things like fault detection and monitoring other areas of the bike), i will share the source code and design when i i get to that (this is my plan for summer, so will be late aug/sept
