The dealer don’t have information about modules which is really sad for us users.
TL;DR:
I got it "working", but so far no diagnosis and incorrect GPS coordinates. Only the battery % report seems working.
Longer desc:
I have a TC Max registered in the UK with a 69 plate (meaning was registered after 2019.09.01.).
I had to do the followings to "get" it work (I'll describe the quotes):
Try 1) downloaded the app from appstore to iphone, scanned QR code, recognized that it's a TC Max based on the ECU number.
Then I had to click on the activate button, which should activate the sim in the bike (24 months is free if I remember correctly).
Then it asked me to "Turn off the 'Air Switch' for 5 mins and try again, or wait 10+ minutes".
Don't know what is the air switch, so I used the kill switch. Turned back on after 10 mins, waited another 10+ mins, nothing. In the app I was getting that the bike got disconnected for more than 30 mins and take the bike somewhere where is better reception.
Try 2) Deregistered the bike from the app, re-added it. Same error.
Deleted the app from my phone, reinstalled it, logged in and the bike was still assigned to my account and finally the battery % appeared. It was matching with the reading on the bike.
Problems:
- GPS was off like 30 miles. I was stationary in front of my house, but the minute by minute GPS update said, I'm riding the bike next to Coventry (I live in London :P).
- Diagnosis was running, without error, but nothing came back.
It was late at this point, so didn't take out the bike for a ride to see if the battery % will change.
I parked back the bike (underground) and the GPS updates stopped, so it seems that I'm connected to the correct bike. Diagnosis started to send messages, that it cannot find the bike (before it was just running and no results).
I'm going to test a bit more for the next days.
Found another interesting feature today. The SIM/GPS module works with the main battery removed so it must have it's own backup power source. This means that GPS location and 'Unusual Vibration' alerts still work which is handy anti-theft/recovery protection.

Hmm... that's very interesting. When I remove the battery, the alarm turns off as well.
Weird, mine is pretty much spot on. At home and at work it shows the correct location or at least the correct grid square.
I'll try to go back to the shop, I bought from and ask if he can ask help from the distributor.
