Hey guys, I have a question about the Super Soco app in conjunction with the GPRS module in a CUx (2021). I've bought this CUx from an elderly couple, they were the first owners. Arriving home with the CUx, I noticed that I cannot pair my phone: the ECU has already been paired with a different phone number. So I contacted the elderly couple. They did not have a clue, but thought that maybe the dealership had paired one of their phones.
This turns out to be true: mechanic admits he had paired (his?) phone for diagnostic reasons, but apparantly did not unpair it afterwards. Now he's telling me a really weird story that he can't unpair his phone, because the GPRS module is no longer supported by the Super Soco app. I need the VMOTO app (which, AFAIK, doesn't exist), which only works with VMOTO GPRS modules. If the GPRS module in this 2021 CUx is no longer supported in the Super Soco App (v1.7.1), why isn't this forum filled with complaints about this?
He did have a solution though: replace the ECU with a new VMOTO one: 750 USD, excluding labor costs 🤣
Is this guy talking sh#t? VMOTO is Super Soco, right? And there's only one app, ever, right?
Really love to know.
Yeah. Bureaucracy. So much to get that info that you ask for and know. Then the seller says: No, I don't know anything about that. Then you insists and finally get help. Always easiest within period of warranty.
If one can do some DIY. Getting rid of the GPRS and the app and get yourself a new controller which is in the span 150-1000 depending on power level.
Â
1] Bikes produced before Q2 2022 have Supersoco ECU installed[optional !].Â
2] Bikes produced after Q2 2022 have VMOTO ECU installed [also optional].
3] The Supersoco ECU needs Supersoco App
4] The VMOTO ECU needs VMOTOSoco or VMOTO App [2024].
5] The Supersoco app platform is no longer supported[server down since nov.2023]
6] Bikes IN WARRANTYÂ and dealer maintained can get a free VMOTO ECU update.Â
7] Bikes OUT OF WARRANTY and dealer maintained need to buy a new contract [around 90 Euro, 2 year], and get a VMOTO ECU for free.[only if bike is originally equipped with Supersoco ECU].
8] VMOTO ecu's can be recognized by IMEI 8654160350Â /Â 360Â /Â 370 -->>
9] The IMEIÂ is a 15 digit code can be found on the ECU datamodule, or in the user manual.Â
10] If you find your ECU has -NULL at the end of the partnumber, it's not a GPS ecu. It's just a datalogger required by euro 5 regulations.
11] A GPS ECU can be retrofitted if your bike does not have one.
12] Supersoco no longer exists, the brand is owned by VMOTO now.Â
13] Contact your official VMOTO dealer. If they won't help you, blame and shame them, then contact your local importer.
14] Blame yourself if your bike is not dealer maintained and your claim is declined.
15] The VMOTOsoco app will be replaced by the VMOTO app early 2024[already available]Â
16]If your VMOTOsoco or VMOTO app stops receiving data, check the green LED on your ECU. The LED should blink shortly once every 3 seconds if connected to a cellular 4G network. If green LED is ilumminated continously with short intervals, no connection is present to 4G network. Â
